IDF coupling (International Dairy Foundation)
IDF-couplings get usage in processing-units to meet requirements of CIP (Clean in place) and SIP (Sterilisation in place). Hoses or pipe connections don´t have to be disconnected after processing. The "T"- or "L"-sized seal is locked between special formed fine fits of male and liner and gives a crevice free joint under pressure the same as on vacuum.
In complete appreciation, the IDF-coupling is a high quality screwed union which warrants CIP and SIP if handling is adequate.
